Which registrations does a small new business actually need?
At a minimum: an entity registration (private limited, LLP or proprietorship), PAN/TAN, and GST if your turnover crosses the threshold or you sell online or inter-state. Add Udyam (free, and it protects you against late-paying buyers), Shops & Establishments if you have premises or staff, FSSAI if food is involved, and IEC if you import or export.
